INTRODUCTION

Opening 2014, The Gainsborough Bath Spa exclusively offers the only natural thermal spa within a hotel in the United Kingdom. Keystone to the geographic heart of Bath, the hotel is a moment's stroll from Bath Abbey, the high street shopping on Milsom Street, The Roman Baths and is the best location from which to explore the city and its other pre-eminent attractions. The Gainsborough Bath Spa is a contemporary expression of this vibrant, creative and artistic city, adding to its social spaces, and welcoming all.

Behind the Georgian, Grade II listed fa├žade are ensconced a series of intimate, elegantly laid out public spaces which follow the original layout of the Pinch design. These include our ballrooms, the Restaurant and The Lobby Lounge. All 99 guestrooms and suites are custom furnished, subtly combining fine period details with graceful interiors and modern functional elements.

Serving seasonal, locally sourced cuisine The Gainsborough Restaurant offers versatile dining arrangements within a setting of exposed wooden beams and quasi-private fireside tables, as the works of resident artists line the walls. Sip innovative cocktails or old standards at the jewel box Restaurant Bar connected to the Private Dining Room or venture into The Lobby Lounge designed to entice visitors and residents of Bath alike with its light lunches, afternoon teas, pre-dinner cocktails and after dinner drinks.

Healing waters are the city's most celebrated asset and Spa Village Bath focuses on just that. Encompassing two levels, the 1,300 square metre spa, features an apothecary, natural thermal water pools, ice chamber, sauna, steam room, movement studio, Fitness Centre, 11 treatment rooms, and therapeutic treatments inspired by the local thermal waters.
